Custom thermal straps can be made with specially designed terminals to fit any interface. Examples of custom aluminum foil thermal straps are shown below. One provides cryogenic cooling of a focal plane array (FPA) by coupling it to a cryocooler. The TAFTS cools the FPA to just below 263K with the help of a strap-mounted TEC.
